Michael Pinson: Douchebag

On a scale of one to ten, one being “Always a pleasure” and ten being “I will file a restraining order against you”, I figure I must be at least a six in terms of how frekin’ annoying I am.

Take my blog for instance, I post so often on Saint Petersblog that my ego told me to start a new blog — Battleground Tampa Bay — because I don’t think I have to say already.

I post on my blog ten, fifteen, twenty times a day, filling up Google Reader.  I use Twitter incessantly.  I re-post my own articles on Facebook, so just so the few loyal followers I have will read me.

Most of my apolitical friends, like one of my best friends Sherwin, don’t follow me anymore because he is so tired of reading about Charlie Crist or Marco Rubio or Kendrick Meek.

I also post my articles on other news’ sites.  Then I turnaround and bitch at reporters when they use even a sentence of one of my stories, but fail to give credit.  I upload headshots of anonymous food critics.  I write a column each day complaining about the content of one of the most critically-acclaimed newspapers in the country.

Politically, I am just as annoying.  Wayne Garcia once described me as a “one-man election wrecking crew.” I file complaints with the Florida Division of Election even though I owe them sixty-six large (and change).  I trick homeless people into disrupting campaign events. I think almost every other consultants’ creative work is sub-par and deserving of derision, which I amply provide whenever I get the chance.

I am terrible.  I know this.  But I am nowhere near the douchebag that is the walking massengill-and-water that is personified by Michael Pinson.

On a scale of one to ten, one being “So nice to see you” and ten being “He would be shived in the back within five minutes of going to prison,” Michael Pinson is damn near in triple figures.

Before I outline my reasons for writing this post, let me preclude my comments with a couple of disclaimers, beyond me admitting, as I did above, that I realize my own faults.

First of all, I do not personally know Michael Pinson, only by his actions online, in political circles and by reputation.

Secondly, of all the topics I have been asked to write about, of all the targets I have set my sights on — Brian Blair, Go Davis, Deveron Gibbons, Cristina Silva, Scott Wagman — none of them measure up to Pinson in terms of the number of people who have urged me, scratch that, begged me to write something about Michael Pinson.  The level of vitriol towards Pinson is just that great.  The cup frekin’ runneth over.

So what is the purpose of my post?  To simply say that Michael Pinson is a douchebag?  Well, I can’t call every person I disagree with a douchebag, right?  Brian Blair is a douchebag, no doubt.  I just don’t know what to say about Pinson.  So I am going to do the only thing I can do.

I am going to unfriend Michael Pinson on Facebook.

I don’t want to read his posts about “Progressive Socialists” anymore.  I don’t want him posting on my blog or on my Facebook account anymore.  I don’t want to hear over and over and over again about his charitable efforts.  I don’t want to see any more pictures of him with his faux reality-TV star girlfriend.

On a scale of one to ten, one being “Can’t wait to see you” and ten being “I wish your next flight to Haiti gets hijacked by Cuban terrorists.” I am spotting Pinson all the points he needs.

Why do I detest Pinson so much?  How can I, scourge of a city, have the temerity to hate on someone with so many friends, with so much success?  The answers are infinite.

Where does it start? It starts with a story I was told about Pinson on Election Night 2008.  Evidently, Pinson came to the Pinellas County Republican Party’s Victory Party, expecting to get into a VIP reception despite having not contributed.  Whoever was watching the door that night kept Pinson from entering, to which he responded, “But I donated $1,000 to Gus Bilirakis’ campaign,” while flashing some sort of donors pin.  To this, Pinson was simply told, “The Gus Bilirakis Victory Party is in Tarpon Springs.  We would be happy to provide you with directions.”

That’s Pinson in a nutshell, thinking that a grand to Gus Bilirakis is entry into a party.  As if anybody gives a rat’s ass about who donates to Gus Bilirakis.

But that’s only the beginning.  The reason I detest and hate Michael Pinson can be told in just two anecdotes which occurred this weekend.  The first is Pinson’s posting of these comments regarding the passing of Sen Byrd of West Virginia:

We need NOT morn US Senator Byrd’s Death today. He was a Socialist Democrat who was a racist, he was a former leader of the KKK who rallied White Democrats against the blacks in the US Senate, who BLOCKED the Civil Rights Bill in 1964 and he DID, who did not even apologize for supporting the KKK until 2005. Yet, the Socialist Democrats in the DNC promote this radical as a hero, when is is NOT. SHAMEFUL BY DEMOCRATS!

That’s right, Pinson, in all his grandeur, is urging people, by posting all over THEIR Facebook accounts that the country not mourn the death of a universally respected United States Senator, who probably did more for his state than any other leader for their respective constituency.

It’s embarrassing comments like Pinson’s that make people cringe when we talk about politics.  This blow-hard, this obnoxious wannabe has the temerity to try to tell other people how they should remember the longest serving member of Congress.  For that reason alone, I never want to hear again from this nouveau-riche braggart.

But let me be clear, this is not an isolated incident.  For some reason, Pinson thinks its appropriate, not only to post his drivel on his Facebook page, but to do so your Facebook page.  Pinson trolls around hundreds of other people’s Facebook pages, posting his unsolicited comments.

Michael, you are ruining it for the rest of us.  Even at my most obnoxious, I don’t post my thoughts on other people’s pages, just I don’t go over to other people’es homes and complain about the hospitality.

So don’t ever, ever come on my Facebook page, as you did this weekend, and try to call out people like Michelle Todd.  I realize you disagree with Todd’s decision to show loyalty to the Governor of Florida, but no one gives a fuck about what you think about the topic.  No one is sitting around saying, ‘You know what, if Michael Pinson doesn’t like Michelle Todd, well then neither do I.’

You don’t call out a woman, you don’t pigeon hole her in a corner, like you have before, and intimidate her.  Next time you want to pick on someone, I am at 449 40 AVE Northeast.

In the meantime, just know that these are just two of the reasons why I don’t want you within 500 feet of me or my Facebook page.  I am not going to ask anyone else to defriend you because so many people find your comments ridiculously entertaining that I don’t want them to miss out.

But know this: the political activists, donors, candidates, thinkers and writers in this community think you are a douchebag.

On a scale of one to ten, one being “sweet smelling” and ten being “I hope you wake up with a yeast infection in your mouth,” you are the world-class douchebag of Tampa Bay.

No one wants to hear your lies about being close to Rush Limbaugh.

No one wants to hear how you “advise” Bill McCollum or Marco Rubio.  They don’t care and neither do we.

No one wants to see pictures of you at a “white party.”  Fifty year old men don’t go to white parties.

No one wants to read about how you, oh gosh, mention again how you were supposedly a male model.  Male models get hustled into pick-up trucks to jerk off for fifteen dollars.  Is that what you did?

No one wants to join the J. Michael Pinson – Americans for Freedom Facebook page. You are not a public figure.

No one wants you to run for Congress. You can’t win. And stop telling people you were going to be appointed to the US Senate. You wouldn’t be appointed to the Mosquito Control Board.

None of the other major donors in the area respect you.

No one wants to see any more pictures of you posing like a sorority girl with some hooker dressed up like a ballroom dancer.

What kind of man has 1,654 pictures of themselves on Facebook anyways?

A douchebag, that’s who!

P.S. Every time you post on someone else’s Facebook page, I am going to come right behind you and post this article.

Three simple letters will follow the legacy of Sen Byrd of West Virginia: KKK.

Once you make the decision to join the KKK there is no going back. The stench will always be there, no matter what you accomplish afterwords. Undoubtedly joining the ranks KKK in the first place shows a lapse in judgment and deep disdain for your fellow human beings. This “honorable” Senator led and supported the murder and lynching of thousands of innocent people. Moreover, Senator Byrd, in a callous act of cowardice and treason, fought to deny the basic civil rights of millions of Americans. That being said, why would anyone honor this poor excuse for a person? Who cares that he stunk up the Senate floor for over five decades, the man was a terrorist leader! If anyone believes this old Dixiecrat should be honored then I suggest that you take a history course on lynching and look into your own heart.

“Michael Pinson is damn near in triple figures.”

Thank you. As someone in-the-know at a professional, nonprofit, and personal level…you pegged it (albeit in merely the political realm).

Well played… (But now, best to focus on getting your restraining order drafted.)

    Bless you!

This is point on and why people are turned off by politics in america today they dont like to be bullied by a stalinist douche like mike pinson who in real rough and tumble politics would have been the local 20 whore and used for a snuff film just to get you to shut the f… up

Pinson responds, leaving this message on my Facebook page:

Nice write up. The vast majority of what you posted is frankly untrue. As usual, instead you having the ability to address the key issues in our community or to even have a debate about such as Immigration, the massive federal debt, failure of Social Security, The fact that we have a 50% high school drop out rate in many parts of the country, out real rate of unemployment is now 16.8%, the homeless problems are soaring as the Gov gives Billions of dollars to other nations while ignoring millions of our own citizens is a real problem, as the Gov is ignoring our Constitution and buying stock and taking over large Wall Street firms, insurance companies, mortgage companies, auto companies and more as the entire economy continues to fail. Members of Congress are on Public Record stating that their goal is to “Socialize the Nation” by taking over private industry. The Nation debt has grow 32% and the size of Gov grew 20% in the past 18 months under our new President as he promotes “Progressive Socialism with Social Justice” vs “Equal Opportunity, Freedom for all, Free Markets and stand up for the US Constitution”. You form a hard line opinion and complain about everyone and everything while proposing no solutions for our community. You are a HARD LINE Left wing Democrat who hates Fiscal Conservatives such as myself. As you know I have proposed many solutions as business owner. I do meet with elected officials and try to make a difference to better our community while in the meantime; you seem to be trying to tear people down for it in your blogs. In your article you “Brag” that people have threatened to file restraining orders against you because you are so aggressive with others? And you are proud of this fact? Your article shows how much you hate Anti-Socialists like myself. You attack charity projects? You can attack me all you want and promote such wild lies about where I post and what I do and say. It is your right to make so many false statements on the Internet if you wish to. However, you should be shamed that you attack Ann P who is former Miss Tampa and a dear friend of mine. We are not dating, we are merely good friends who have spent a lot of time promoting and supporting charity events and asking our friends to help those in need in our local community. Your unprofessional comments about this show just how much social and political hate that you have for non-Socialists who care about helping others in need. My comments about Senator Byrd are valid. Anyone can Google his history and read that he was an active member of the KKK even while in public office. He blocked the civil rights bill in 1964 and continued to vote against Equal Opportunity and Freedom his entire career. These are the facts. The DNC did in fact provide him with millions of dollars and kept him as a US Senator for 57 years as they KNEW his affiliations and racist beliefs. . It was not until 2005 when he was close to dying while in office, that he apologized for supporting the KKK and voting against blacks while a US Senator. I respectfully disagree with you that Congress should promote him as national hero in our history books where children in our schools will be taught a history re-write about what the DNC did with Senator Byrd. You appear to have a different viewpoint about my comments concerning Senator Byrd which is what caused you to attack myself, my friends, charities and even Miss Tampa. People who know me in the community realize that your article is ridiculous and unfounded. I wish you the best and hope that one day you will realize that speaking out to better our community and to protect the US Constitution & our Free American Republic is not an evil or bad thing as you appear to believe.

  6. Bill Sanders says:

Wow, you don’t pull your punches. Gotta give you props for speaking your mind. And your style reminds me of Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog. Hilarious! However, I must agree with Michael’s response. Sure Michael posts alot of political diatribes against the Progressive Socialists, but that’s his thing. Frankly, we need more people to be outraged by these un-American politicians. What they are doing is harming all of us. The other thing I sense is jealousy. I am turning 55 in July and wish I had the following of gorgeous babes that Micheal does. Why shouldn’t 50 year old men attend “white parties?”

  7. Oy Vey says:

It’s morons like Pinson that make people dislike republicans. Mr. Sanders, if you knew him, you would feel differently. Believe me. I’m a Tea Party Republican and I really wish he’d just go away. As for him being at White Party: in word, creepy.

  8. Republican says:

OMG thank you for coming out and saying what everyone has been thinking about Pinson. I’m very actively involved with the Republican party and agree with the actual point of much of what Pinson says (exaggerated language aside)… this (and follow up pages) made my day!!

  9. Vivid says:

    They’re Both Nutz, Grab’em! Looks like a Republican girl fight… U-gly.

  10. Michael Pinson says:

The story above post is false, as The Pinson Foudation has helped increase community awareness about Domestic Violence for years now. We just helped Julie Weintraub promote a charity brunch for Domestic Violence in St Petersburg last week which you appear to disagree with helping others in need. We have also raised money for the shelter to include hosting events with over 200 guests in my home for four years now.

This bloggers report is slander and untrue. I am amazed how this blogger attacks people who give back to the local community and to help others in need, as what he is doing. Shameful. He seems to enjoy harassing others in the community with no regret. In 2010, I donated $5,000 myself and helped raise money to help the people in Haiti 9 days after the January Earthquake. We fly a 11 person medical team down there for a week to help people in need. We when back last month. In 2010, we distributed over $500,000 in food and medical supplies that we obtained from donors, the UN, the US Army, WFP, and other world organizations there. Our medical team that we fly from St. Petersburg saved lives which you attack us for. Shameful.

Yes, there are some Republicans who are upset as many of us in the community said “ENOUGH” two years ago about the direction of our community and government. We started in first cleaning up the GOP as we cannot clean up DC is we are unwilling to clean up our party FIRST. Many spoke out across that State of Florida and fired the Florida GOP chairman who has since been charged with multiple felonies. There are many in the FLA GOP today who covered this up in 2009 and some may even go do jail as the FBI expands their investigation. I pulled by support for Charlie Crist in 2009 and this upset the old dog group in St. Pete as well. Charlie was pushed out of the GOP and some people like Peter now people want revenge against those who spoke out. Shameful behavior. I have never met Peter, nevre spoke to him and never spoke about him in a negative manner – ever. He is out from the radical left as he has some Progressives in the GOP fueling his fire. They have been exposed and now you can see what happens when small business owners like myself who was not even involved in government issues prior to 2008 speak out. We get attacked by those people who are upset about the Grass Roots, or us non-politicians. Why cannot people just get along and simply debate the community issues without the radical personal attacks? This is part of the problem why the country is being torn apart today and it is up to the community to condemn such hate speech by those who write it and by those who are endorsing it.

Below is what is posted in my Facebook and company web site as to what I promote in the community. This is a far cry from this guy’s personal attacks and lies. To attack our many friends and supporters as what you are doing, who care about the community, give back, and yes, we take photos and videos to post in the Social Media to help bring community awareness to help others in need in Tampa Bay. What is wrong is that people like yourself are attacking those like myself who are doing these things. No we will not stop helping others in need, and no we will not bow down to your threats for you to try to control our lives or you will write slanderous attacks about people in our group. Frankly, you should be ashamed of yourself. With your criminal conviction past in the community, I would have though you would have taken the criminal courts offer for a “Second Chance” in life after your “probation” from your stealing thousands of dollars from a political campaign. You did your time, and the judge gave you a second chance. Why don’t you work on contributing positive changes in the community vs attacking so many people as you are doing?

Below is what I promote in the community. What do you stand for? Try following God’s ways a little more in life as you may be a happier person.

“Our country is about free trade, saving, investing, honesty, integrity, and equal opportunity. When your success grows, then give back to your local community in either time and/or money. Take care of people when you can. People will make or break a business. When a business succeeds, then take “all” of your staff with you for the journey of success, and you will not fail. When they succeed, you will automatically succeed. With that said, stand by these rules and make sure others around you follow them in life. Too many people have forgotten what it takes to reach success. We do not need a larger, more expensive government. We just need more people to follow the above rules of life.
Judge a person on what is in the inside, not the outside. We should not divide our great country by race, religion or income as some people are trying to do. Everyone deserves a equal opportunity to the American Dream. ——– Michael Pinson”

I wouldn’t call the above post from Pinson a schooling for anyone. He definitely had to have copied and pasted that response, somehow much of it seems repetitive from other posts I’ve seen from him. If he thinks he’s a public figure, he has to be able to take criticism. Frankly, the fact that he wrote out such a long response tells me that “the truth hurts” him quite a bit. Suck it up ole boy and deal. Not everyone loves you, not everyone cares what you think, and no not every gorgeous female under the age of 25 wants you. I truly hope that if anyone gets anything from these blogs it’s Pinson himself, for he needs to be schooled on how to treat others and worry about himself less ;)

  13. Mord says:

I’ve been a bit tuned out, but was referred to this by a friend…

After reading the Schorschian salvo and the Pinsonian rebuttal, I must admit that the latter’s words flow like a summer’s eve.

It’s sad really that Florida (let alone the US) has such a dearth of good politicians (let alone civic leaders). What’s worse is the culture in all of this; it’s a shame to see so much effort expended on rhetorical polarization, and the incredible reluctance people have to EVER publicly admitting a change of mind, a change of heart, or god forbid, some common ground and agreement.

Our country is not heading in a bad direction because of the ideology or policies of the party in charge, it’s heading in a bad direction because those who are cloaked in power on both “sides” are cynically protecting it in such a way that it’s increasingly difficult to find anyone below their “rank” who can differentiate the talking points from truth and common sense.

    Good luck, everyone.

I have met Pinson and have had him friend me on Facebook. This article does reflect how he is perceived by people. Perception is reality people. When my friends or coworkers tell me they think I’m like this or act a certain way, I always take that to heart. Why? Because there is a reason why so many people feel this way. If Pinson is not as described above then he needs to look at himself and ask why people perceive him this way and change it if it is inaccurate. Trust me the handful of people I know feel this way and we all can’t be wrong. In fact, I know probably hundreds of people feel this way. It’s time for Pinson to stop being a douchelord and reexamine why so many people perceive him to be such.

I keep my boat at the marina where Mr. Pinson keeps his boat. I have witnessed this self centered nancy boy talk down to the marinas employees on several occations. He is a VERY INEXPERIENCED boater who finds it necessary to instruct the marina staff on how to handle his boat around the docks, when he himself can’t handle or drive a vessel to save his life. The marinas Dockhands handle 100′s of boats per week with skill and care WITHOUT damaging them. They have always handled my boat responsibly year after year. He is constantly instructing them on how to do their jobs, while at the same time being completey oblivious to the fact that the same Dockhands just handled boat after boat that are bigger, nicer, and more expensive than his. He is the only person I’ve noticed doing this. In fact, most of the customers agree that the excellent service is the best thing about the place.

I’ve heard him say ” don’t let it touch the dock, it’s an 08′ “…………listen mike, the people who WORK AT THE MARINA are not impressed by you, or your boat. It’s a 26ft sea ray- get over yourself. You are not special. They see hundreds of high dollar boats all the time, why would you think that yours should be handled any different?

There is nothing worse in my book than someone that has no freaking clue, telling someone else how to do their job. It is rediculous, pompus behavior and Mr.Pinson is a pro at it.

World class Douche in my un-biased, outsider’s opinion.

I heard Michael Pinson ask a grown women if she knew how to swim. That’s all you need to know to come to a conclusion about him. –Doucherrrrr

P.S. Pinson, who the hell cares about your god damn political views. YOUR WRONG. Stop accusing people of being democrats. There’s nothing wrong with being a democrat, its people like you that tear this country down politically, and if you were to ever (not even in your wildest dreams) become a politician in a “REAL” position, all the senators and house members added up woudnt equal your disgusting, corrupt, wannabe, dumb ass self; who does nothing but try to better himself in society by using charities as an excuse. Oh, and as another customer in the marina (sea ray owner) you cant operate a boat for shit. WATCHING YOU LEAVE THE DOCK IS LIKE WATCHING A BLIND MAN PUT ON A PEG LEG AND WALK THROUGH WATER. ITS A DISASTER. Also Im praying for the day you talk down to someone (like you do everyone)(no exaggeration) and you get you pussy ass, women like self flattened. One more thing, if you were to repeat what you posted about Senator Byrd to his face on his death bed, he’d still be able to beat your pussy ass self.

No one cares about what you think, or you really.

LOL! Love this! Used to work for this “man” for many. many painful years. He is an complete loser. Tried many times to “pick up” women from dating sites, walked many a “hot” (in his eyes) through his business to show how big a man he was. Actually a large number of his past employees felt bad for him because of the type of jerk he was. The only thing he loves more than money is himself. His political views are scary to say the least. If you are not a small business owner like himself you do not matter and should not be allowed to vote. His charity is a joke, and it was only because he joined the 12 Ugly Men of Tampa that his name ever started getting around. Sigh. Where to start and where to stop agreeing with this blog. Sorry Michael, but in your heart you know it is true….

Really??? they also did not report that Channel 10 was given $16,200 in cleared checks that we paid to the women’s shelter from hosting 4 charity events at my home…they forgot to mention such facts…in due time…we will post all paper trails on our web site but let the idiots have fund for 4-5 days and they will burry themselves when we make a press release with the details…give us time..pleas e do no repost my email….stand by your friends and watch this circus unfold to the truth, your jaw will drop…thanks
