Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam named Aaron Keller today as new press secretary for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

“Over the past two years, Aaron has proven himself to be a strong communicator and strategic thinker,” Putnam said in a statement Monday. “He will help us deliver key messages about the services we provide to the Floridians we serve.”

Since 2013, Keller served in the department’s Office of Communications, as communications coordinator and later as deputy press secretary. Previously, the Florida State University graduate held media relations positions in both the Department of Health and CoreMessage, the Tallahassee-based communications and public relations firm, where he began his PR career as an intern.
