Former Pensacola City Councilman Jack Nobles today announced he has acquired all of the necessary signatures to qualify as a candidate for the special election for House District 2, making him the first candidate in the race to do so.  The required signatures were verified by the Escambia County Supervisor of Elections late Monday afternoon.

“I am sincerely enjoying getting back into the community, listening to the concerns of people who are as passionate about this area as I am,” said Nobles. “I am moved by the outpouring of support I have already received from my neighbors, friends and even complete strangers.

“I intend to wear out some shoes in the coming weeks as I continue to work hard around the district, meeting with as many people as possible. It is vital their voices are heard and they have access to the person who is elected to serve them in Tallahassee. I am determined to prove to the people in this area how hard I am going to work for them in our state capital by showing them how hard I’m willing to work to earn their vote.”

Nobles announced his intent to run for election in late March and officially filed to run for the seat on April 4th.
