in Sports by

The NCAA College Baseball Tournament is not likely to come anywhere near the broad popularity enjoyed by the basketball tournament known as March Madness. At the same time, referring to this year’s baseball extravaganza as June Madness would not be overstating what has taken place so far. Both Florida and Florida State have provided significant contributions to this year’s mayhem, which saw nearly half of the 16 seeded teams and regional hosts go down to defeat. Number two national seed…

He wasn’t that, either. Johnson finished a disappointing year, leading Auburn on a 21-point outburst in the second half as the Tigers held off Memphis, 31-10, to finish the season at 7-6. Johnson, who was benched in the fourth game after throwing six interceptions in the first…

Will Muschamp’s Auburn defense has mixed results

in Sports by

The 6th ranked Auburn Tigers began the 2016 season with a 31-24 victory over the Louisville Cardinals in Atlanta on Saturday. After Will Muschamp was let go as the Florida Gators head coach, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn brought in the former Gator coach to run his defense before Muschamp finished packing. Why not? When he was Auburn’s defensive coordinator in 2006 and 2007, Auburn…
