Five firms vie to be next Pasco County lobbyist

Five companies are under consideration to become the next Tallahassee lobbyist for Pasco County, with county commissioners asked to narrow the list down to three before scheduling oral presentations for Oct. 19. As reported by the Tampa Bay Times, two firms are from Tallahassee — Pittman Law Group and Public Affairs Consultants. Southern Strategy Group led all firms in compensation for lobbying the Florida Legislature during the first quarter of 2015, hauling in $2.25 million, according to recently released lobbying compensation figures.
