‘All-star’ design teams named for $3 billion Water Street Tampa project

Design teams were named Tuesday for Water Street Tampa, the much-touted plan for the city’s Channelside area from Jeff Vinik‘s Strategic Property Partners and Bill Gates‘ asset management firm Cascade Investment. On second thought: Hillsborough Commission opts to remove Confederate monument

Four weeks after the Hillsborough County Commission voted to keep a controversial Confederate monument outside the courthouse annex, commissioners have changed their minds. In a 4-2 vote Wednesday, “Memoria In Aeterna” will now likely be relocated to the Brandon Family Cemetery.
