Justin Bean, Gina Driscoll finish one-two in St. Pete District 6 race; Recount likely

An eight-person field has narrowed to Justin Bean and Gina Driscoll in the St. Petersburg City Council District 6 race. They will face off in 10 weeks to succeed term-limited Karl Nurse. Robert Blackmon came in an extremely close third, behind Driscoll by only four votes, setting off an automatic recount.

With machine and manual recounts now finished in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, Darryl Rouson is the winner in the Democratic primary for Senate District 19. He defeated Ed Narain by a mere 66 votes (that’s what the Rouson campaign told us. The Florida Division of Elections website shows the difference to be 77 votes. New poll shows Pat Frank up big over Kevin Beckner in Hillsborough clerk race – 49%-29%

A survey conducted last week by St. Pete Polls shows Pat Frank leading challenger Kevin Beckner by a substantial margin heading into their Democratic primary race for the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Courts race. Frank gets 49 percent in the survey to Beckner’s 29 percent. Another 23 percent say they are unsure who to support.
