Tampa International to host job fair next week, more than 250 available jobs

As Phase 1 of the Tampa International Airport master plan continues, job opportunities will be available in the coming year as a new car rental office, restaurants and other retail outlets begin opening.

According to airport officials, more than 250 jobs will soon be available, including positions such as servers, bartenders, baristas, cashiers, stockers, prep cooks, line cooks and sales associates.

Those interested in applying should take the time to come to a job fair August 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board Room, third floor of the main terminal.

Participants include companies representing Burger 21, Starbucks, Cigar City Taproom, Four Green Fields, Panda Express, Tampa Sports, Mindworks and more. These hourly positions include servers, bartenders, baristas, cashiers, stockers, prep cooks, line cooks and sales associates. Enterprise Rent-A-Car is also seeking 10 full-time positions with benefits.

The openings come as part of the airport’s comprehensive concessions overhaul, bringing 69 new shops, restaurants and services to TPA. Airport officials say all new concessions are expected to open by early 2018, with more than half already open and operating.
