Mike Twitty nabs Pinellas Realtor Association endorsement

Pinellas County Property Appraiser candidate Mike Twitty has earned another valuable endorsement in his campaign to replace outgoing appraiser Pam Dubov. The Pinellas Realtor Organization gave Twitty its nod in a letter this week.

“we will be encouraging our members to actively support your campaign. With over 7,000 members, the Pinellas Realtor® Organization is one of Tampa Bay’s largest and most politically active professional trade associations,” the letter read.

The organization also said it will be offering financial support to Twitty’s campaign. The group can contribute up to $1,000.

The endorsement serves as a blow to Twitty’s opponent, former State Representative Jim Frishe. Twitty is already outraising Frishe. With $103,000 raised as of the most recent data available, Twitty has brought in about $60,000 more than his opponent.

Twitty also has earned a key endorsement from the incumbent. Dubov is not seeking re-election in order to become a Deacon at her church.

Twitty was also recruited for the race by Pinellas County Clerk of the Court Ken Burke.

Twitty is a veteran real estate appraiser. As a result he’s also earned an endorsement from Dubov as well as State Sen. Jeff Brandes, former Pinellas County Commissioner Susan Latvala, and St. Pete City Councilman Ed Montanari.

While Frishe lacks Twitty’s professional experience, he has compiled a hard-hitting list of support of his own. That includes State Sen. Jack Latvala, former State Rep. Ed Hooper, Treasure Island Mayor Bob Minning, and Gulfport City Councilman Dan Liedtke.

Here’s the complete letter from PRO:
