A ridiculous, albeit throwaway, line from The Shark Tank’s Javier Manjarres

I probably should avoid posting about The Shark Tank’s Javier Manjarres. After all, posting about him only legitimatizes him.

Still, I can’t pass commenting on a ridiculous, albeit throwaway, line from Manjarres.

In a post today about the expected campaign between Charlie Crist and Rick Scott, Manjarres, um, writes, “But the Left is wasting no time taking below the belt shots at Scott by spreading inaccuracies. For example just this week the Shark-Tank reported the Tampa Bay Times’ Politifact essentially called Florida Dems liars as they quickly knocked down their claims.”

The Shark-Tank reported, hmmm?

The Shark-Tank reported what the Tampa Bay Times reported … that’s what passes for analysis on The Shark Tank.

No, Javier, you did not “report” anything, you merely passed along what real journalists wrote.

In my book, there’s nothing wrong with aggregation, as long as it’s acknowledged for what it is. Not doing so creates an unnecessary adversarial relationship between professional journalists and bloggers.
