Republican state Sen. Aaron Bean, running unopposed this year, has filed paperwork this week for a 2018 run in his Northeast Florida Senate District 4 seat, according to the state Division of Elections.
Bean, who represents Nassau and Duval counties, joined three other lawmakers who have opened campaign accounts for 2018 Senate races.
Republican Sen. Dorothy Hukill filed for re-election in Port Orange District 8; Rep. Ritch Workman, a Melbourne Republican seeking Senate District 16; and Rep. Doug Holder, the Venice Republican looking to take Senate District 28.
Opening a campaign account allows candidates to raise money in their respective races.
