In the first fundraising period since announcing his candidacy for the State House, Aaron Bosshardt released today that he raised $51,945 coming from more than 200 individual donors.
“As a lifelong resident of Gainesville, I am deeply thankful for the support the community has shown my campaign so far. We’ve got a long way to go in this election, but it has become clear to me that the people of North Central Florida want a State Representative who will fight on their behalf, and I am ready to be that advocate.
I’ve talked to a lot of people in the past couple of months, and they have told me they don’t want someone who is going to go up there and vote the way they are told to. They want someone who is willing to stand up, and focus on the issues that affect their everyday lives.
Housing, education, job growth, ethics reform, and the water crisis are just a few of the issues that are not being addressed in Tallahassee today. The Legislature has not offered results to the people of Florida, and I want to change that. It’s time to hold them accountable. We don’t need more partisan bickering – we need real solutions that improve the lives of Floridians.
Our state has tremendous potential, and it will take strong leadership and a clear sense of purpose to guide Florida in the right direction. As a State Representative, I intend on focusing on what matters most – standing up for the hard-working families of North Central Florida.”
