ABC News will unveil new branding for political coverage of the 2012 election cycle and beyond, according to Mike Allen of the Politico Playbook. For years its coverage had simply been ‘VOTE 2008’ – ‘VOTE 2010.’ NBC brands its election coverage ‘Decision 2012’ and CBS has ‘Campaign 2012.’ The new title for ABC News is ‘Your Voice, Your Vote 2012.'”

Rick Kaplan, executive producer of “This Week,” and an executive guiding ABC News political coverage said, “[T]his new branding of our election coverage will be more engaging for our viewers. It also makes a clear statement about our coverage of politics and the mission of ABC News heading into 2012, which is to provide viewers with the big picture understanding they need to make informed decisions at the ballot box.”
