About the TallyMadness artwork

in Uncategorized by

Some of you have asked about the very cool, Warhol-inspired artwork we’re using with TallyMadness.

Well, the credit belongs to our friend Crystal Desilet, who designed each of the images.

Deciding on a theme was easy; designing each individual image wasn’t.

“I wanted to create images that all looked similar and had a theme so I chose the Warhol look for Tally Madness because it is easily recognizable and works well with any photo,” explains Desilet.

Continued Desilet: “I used existing photos of the candidates, and manipulated them in Photoshop to create the look I wanted.  I removed the background from the image and replaced it with a bright color. I then cut out each area that I wanted manipulated into the Warhol style. I used threshold, stamp and layering techniques to create the comic book inspired look.  I overlaid primary and other bright colors to accentuate the subject’s features or clothing and … Voila!”

A Facebook page has been created with all of the images on display.
