Re-election efforts of both Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater brought in $1.7 million in contributions, according recently filed reports with the Division of Elections.
Putnam took in $91,085 in April, for an overall total of $1,778,309, as well as $571,358 of in-kind donations through April 30.
Democratic Ag commissioner candidate Thad Hamilton raised a total of $12,613 last month.
At the same time, Atwater collected $139,385 in April for a total of $1,734,854, with another $686,349 in in-kind contributions.
William Rankin, the Democratic CFO candidate, had $8,342 in total through April.
