Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam continues his strong fundraising push for re-election, receiving $300,691 in contributions last month, according to the state Division of Elections.
In total, Putnam raised nearly $1.7 million during March, spending only about $232,000.
Thursday is the deadline for candidates and political committees to file updated finance reports. Still pending (as of Thursday morning) are reports from the other incumbent Cabinet members, as well as from Gov. Rick Scott and gubernatorial Democratic candidates Charlie Crist and Nan Rich.
Democrat Thad Hamilton, Putnam’s sole opponent, raised $811 in March, for $11,288 overall.
