On Super Tuesday, Bay News 9 anchor Al Ruechel and Tampa Bay Times political editor Adam Smith will be at Tiger Bay today.

Besides up-to-the-minute handicapping of the Republican presidential field, Ruechel and Smith can weigh in on redistricting, state budget cuts and other handiwork of the Florida Legislature, scheduled to be in the last week of session.  The two have teamed on Political Connections, our local Sunday morning venue for interviews and analysis since the show’s launch in 2005.  Both bring a wealth of experience.  Ruechel has been a lead anchor for Bay News 9 since day one.  Smith has been political editor of the Times for more than a decade and was a questioner in the recent Florida Republican presidential debate.

Where is the presidential race headed?  What have been the highlights and lowlights of this legislative session? How long will Republican domination in state and local races continue?  Tigers can expect answers to these questions and more from a seasoned political pair of political analysts.
