Click right away on this profile by the Associated Press’ Brendan Farrington of Alex Sink. The piece is littered with good wood, including this eye-opener:

“Without a husband, without the person that I relied on the most to shore me up and give me good advice. That’s changed. That’s changed everything,” Sink said. “Right this minute, if you’re asking me, it’s off the table. I’m not prepared to say, `No I’m not,’ but I’m much further away from a run today than I was three months ago.”

Earlier in the story, Sink says, in her increasingly downcast way, this about running for governor, “I wish I weren’t thinking about it.”

I’m sorry, but the last place this poor, noble woman belong is on the campaign trail.

By the way, her thoughts on Charlie Crist running against Rick Scott — “It’ll be a disaster.”
