Alex Sink ‘waiting for a sign from the good Lord’ as to whether to run for governor

I don’t know which is worse, that Alex Sink says things like she is “waiting for a sign” before deciding whether she should run for governor OR that an anecdote about Sink “waiting for a sign” passes for political insight.

Anyway, here’s what La Gaceta‘s Patrick Manteiga wrote this week:

“Alex Sink was breakfasting at Troy’s in Ybor City when someone asked her if she is going to run for governor.

“She said, ‘I’m just waiting for a sign. The good Lord will tell me what to do.’

“Her comment was heard at the next booth, where a man started to scribble. Moments later, he held up the back of a note bad. It read, ‘Please run.’

“Is this the sign Ms. Sink was waiting to see?”

Sure, Patrick, it’s a sign … a sign that the breakfast crowd at Tony’s believes itself to be divine.
