Ann Coulter to speak to CPAC in Florida

The American Conservative Union will announce today that firebrand conservative author Ann Coulter will be a headliner at the first-ever Florida CPAC on September 23, reports Politico. Coulter’s provocative speeches at the traditional February gathering fire up activists and tend to create mini-controversies in the press (you might recall her remark about John Edwards in 2007). ACU will also announce that The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol, Americans for Tax Reform’s Grover Norquist and Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Ralph Reed have agreed to participate at the September 23 confab. Already committed are presidential candidates Romney, Pawlenty, Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich, Johnson, McCotter, Santorum and Cain. “This will be the Southeast’s biggest conservative rally of 2011, and we are proud to host it,” says ACU chairman Al Cardenas.
