The 22nd annual Farm Share Holiday Food Giveaway will be Friday, Dec. 16, 9-11 a.m., at Faith Baptist Church, 9230 Ridge Road in New Port Richey. All needy families are welcome.

Participating elected officials include Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano, Florida House Speaker Richard Corcoran of Land O’ Lakes, state Sen. Jack Latvala of Clearwater, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, Pasco Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley and former state Rep. Amanda Murphy of New Port Richey.

“We are once again blessed to work with farmers throughout Florida to provide food at this special time of the year,” Fasano said in a statement. “When so many Floridians are hurting, it is wonderful to see our community come together to serve others.”

Every year, hundreds of families are provided with fresh food and other items they need to have a complete holiday dinner, he added.

In addition to food from Farm Share, donations were made from Publix, The Volunteer Way, Bear Creek Nursing & Rehab Center, Dayspring Academy and many other organizations and individuals.
