PSTA makes major addition to hybrid bus fleet

Thirteen new hybrid-electric buses have begun to arrive at the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority‘s North St. Petersburg headquarters. “Smartbuses,” as they’re called, will be replacing the 13 oldest diesel buses now used by the PSTA. ADP: Florida adds second-most private-sector jobs nationally in June

The latest ADP Regional Employment Report credits the Sunshine State with adding 21,400 private-sector jobs during the month of June. Released Thursday, the report shows Florida’s growth second to only California, which during the same period saw 31,800 private- sector jobs created. ADP estimates an increase of 400 jobs in Florida’s goods-producing sector and an increase of 21,000 jobs in the state’s service-producing sector. Pinellas County’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) reviewed the area’s newly released 2014 Crash Data Report during their July 8 regular meeting.
