Pinellas college student sues real estate developer for taking her investment

A Treasure Island woman is suing a St. Petersburg real estate developer for taking her half of an investment and not repaying it. According to documents filed in the case, Lynn Savoia, a former purchasing manager for the company Formulated Solutions, entered into a joint venture with Shawn Loyden. The owners of St. Pete’s tallest building are being sued for failing to pay its former leasing agent a commission on a large-scale deal brokered by a Tampa company called Hybridge. The City of St. Petersburg’s credit rating has been upgraded by Moody’s Investors Services from negative to stable. The upgrade in the issuer rating is based on the city’s large tax base, improved operating reserves and conservative budgeting practices. A St. Petersburg accounting firm is being sued by one of its employees for allegedly rigging the company’s pay system to cut his salary.
