21,784 votes already cast in St. Pete’s primary election

With just over a week left until the Aug. 27 St. Petersburg citywide primary, 21,784 early ballot – 34.5 percent of the amount mailed by the Supervisor of Elections —have been cast so far. With 63,054 ballots mailed or picked up at the Department of Elections offices through Aug. 16, more than one-third have returned.
