Belleair Bluffs, Kenneth City, Oldsmar elect new city leaders

Voters went to the polls on Tuesday in eight cities, including Belleair Bluffs, Kenneth City and Oldsmar, to new members of their respective city councils.

In Belleair Bluffs, Vice Mayor Suzy Sofer and Councilman Jack Nazario were re-elected with Sofer taking 39% of the vote, Nazario finishing with 34% and challenger George Lawton on the outside with 26%.

In Kenneth City, two seats were up for grabs with incumbent Troy Campbell and former council members Albert Carrier, Joanne DeSimone, and Wanda Dudley all on the ballot. In the end, the top two vote-getters were Dudley and DeSimone.

And in Oldsmar, where three political newcomers sought the council seat vacated by Doug Bevis, who ran unopposed for mayor, Gabby McGee took over 60% of the vote and won handily.
