Hillsborough County Commissioner Mark Sharpe endorsed House Majority Whip Jim Frishe for FL State Senate today. Sharpe, a popular countywide Commissioner with a history as a Naval Reserve Officer and local teacher joins a long list of Tampa Bay area leaders to support Frishe for State Senate.

“Serving on the Hillsborough County Commission since 2004 I have had the opportunity to meet and work with many local elected officials. I know Jim Frishe, I’ve seen his work in the Florida House of Representatives, and I believe he is the best candidate to continue the fight for common-sense solutions to our traffic problems, the elimination of wasteful government spending, and for access to quality education for our children. I look forward to working with him to solve today’s problems and to plan for Tampa’s future,” Sharpe said.

“I am humbled by the outpouring of support from local leaders and proud to add Commissioner Mark Sharpe to my campaign’s growing list of endorsements. Mark has been a leader on issues that are important to Hillsborough, but also as a regional leader by understanding that some problems, and their solutions, transcend county boundaries. It’s an honor to have his support,” said Representative Jim Frishe.
