Today, the McCollum for Governor Campaign launched a new television advertisement, “Profit over Principle.” In the ad, Bill McCollum directly highlights Rick Scott’s hypocrisy on issues critical to conservatives – including pro-life issues, illegal immigration, and government fraud, waste and abuse.
The ad begins airing today in markets across the state. Scripts and viewing links are below.
“Using dollars he walked away with from overseeing one of the most massive Medicare fraud schemes in history, Rick Scott has distorted Bill McCollum’s record of solid conservative leadership in Florida. Voters deserve to know the truth,” said Matt Williams, McCollum for Governor Campaign Manager. “Rick Scott, it’s time to get real with Floridians.”
Script for “Profit Over Principle” (TV: 30):
RICK SCOTT (from television ad):…“And as CEO, I take responsibility and learn from it.”
BILL MCCOLLUM: “Rick Scott, let’s get real. While your hospitals were profiting from abortions, I voted 100 percent pro-life.”
“You cashed in helping illegals send American dollars to Mexico. I led the conservative fight to secure our borders and against amnesty.”
“And while you pocketed $300 million by ripping off taxpayers, as Attorney General, I recovered record millions from Medicaid fraud.”
“You put profit over principle, and that’s wrong.”
