County officials could be subject to term limits under a pair of proposed constitutional amendments that would allow voters to place term limits on county commissioners, sheriffs, tax collectors or other constitutional officers, reports the News Service of Florida. Sen. Jeremy Ring, D-Margate, and Rep. John Wood, R-Winter Haven, filed similar bills (SJR 1070 and HJR 785) Monday that would allow the limitation of service if they are approved by voters within the counties.
