Blaise Ingoglia, vice chair of the Republican Party of Florida, posted $24,650 in March in his bid for House District 35, according to the latest filings with the state Division of Elections.
The Spring Hill homebuilder has collected $133,062 and loaned his campaign $35,000 since May 7. After $28,618 in expenditures, Ingoglia now has a significant $139,444 cash on hand.
It’s not that he is facing stiff competition for the seat covering much of Hernando County, currently represented by term-limited Republican Rep. Rob Schenck.
Ingoglia faces Democratic past county commissioner Rose Rocco, who seems to be fading fast in the months since announcing her campaign January 3.
In March, Rocco raised only $300, down from $800 in February. The Democrat’s total stands at $2,913.
