Just received the following e-mail from Bob Buckhorn:

Today I email you ever so proud of what we have accomplished, and yet mindful of what lies before us.

We are just hours removed from a hard earned victory where we secured 23.5% of the vote. That may not sound like much, but this was a crowded and talented field.

We are very excited to come in just 2 points behind the leader.

We now enter a three week runoff. We have just 21 days before the next and final election to decide the Mayor of Tampa. We must reload and re-engage the electorate.

In the last eight months we knocked on over 25,000 doors and made 15,000 phone calls. There is no doubt that this was the strength of our campaign. Volunteers did this, and we need them again.

Please consider coming to our office at 1701 14th St in Ybor. Monday through Friday we are open from 8am to 8pm and on Saturdays we meet at 9am and 2pm to walk door to door.

We are going to continue bringing our message to voters in every neighborhood of this city. And if we continue to do it right, we will once again be successful on March 22nd.
