A number of city employees, elected officials, civic activists and residents will meet this morning to catch Mayor Bob Buckhorn give his third “State of the City” address.
The speech begins at 10:30 a.m. the Armature Works in historic Tampa Heights.
Buckhorn’s office released a statement saying he chose the site as an “example of a building with a lot of history, but on the verge of a transformation, just like Tampa.”
The 70,000-square-foot brick structure at 1910 Ola Avenue is at the north end of one of Buckhorn’s signature projects, the in-progress Tampa Riverwalk.
For those not able to make the event in person, Buckhorn’s address will be simulcast live on tampagov.net and City of Tampa Television — channel 615 on Bright House Networks and channel 15 on the Verizon FIOS system.
