Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday sent the Florida Supreme Court a revised map of proposed state Senate districts, the latest development in Legislative efforts to have new political boundaries drawn in time for the 2012 general election, reports the News Service of Florida. The proposed map, passed by lawmakers during a special session March 27, is the second to be reviewed by the state’s highest court, which struck down an earlier version. The court rejected the previous map after raising concerns about the shape of a number of districts, many located in the Florida Panhandle.
