Bourbon and doughnuts served at Ky. Gov. presser; what should be served by Florida’s governor?

in Uncategorized by

Herald-Leader reporter Janet Patton yesterday noted on Twitter that bourbon and doughnuts were served at a press conference called by Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear.

Media critic Jim Romenesko asked Patton for more details about why the good stuff was being served and it was explained that the presser was being held at a new Jim Beam distribution center in Frankfort.

Patton said that neither she nor any of the other reporters indulged — of the bourbon or the doughnuts.

“Did I mention it was at 10 a.m.?” Patton tweeted.

Patton and Romenesko’s exchange got me thinking. If a Florida pol wanted to have a little fun, what sinful goodies would they serve at a press conference? For example, I can totally see Rep. Dana Young serving up growlers of Cigar City craft beer.

Who else would do something like that? And what would they serve? Leave your answers in the comment section.
