The little tykes got to celebrate Halloween early this past weekend at Boyd Hill with a Minion-filled family friendly event complete with shows and sweet treats. But this weekend, the older swath of St. Pete kids gets to enjoy a scarier Halloween experience.
TASCO, the city’s Teen Arts, Sports & Cultural Opportunities group is hosting Field of Screams at Boyd Hill.
Calling it “Quarantine” teens and adults navigate their way through the dark woods of Boyd Hill on a quest to make it out of the village. Participants then have to break out of the decontamination tent, escape the safe house and then flee to safety.
The group writes, “participants are exposed to darkness, loud noises, bright lights, wooded trails and intense scare zones.”
They say it’s not suitable for children and parental discretion is advised.
The event runs from Oct. 29 until Nov. 1 from 7 p.m. to midnight at Boyd Hill’s environmental studies area at 2900 31st Street South.
Tickets to take part are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
