At some point, Brian Blair needs to seriously consider which is more important: his political career or his family…

Saint Petersblog is again first with news about trouble in state House candidate Brian Blair’s family; Blair’s oldest son Brett was arrested again, the second time in as many months, this time for grand theft.

Pasco deputies arrested Brett Leslie Blair on Saturday on a grand theft charge. Blair’s eldest son is accused of stealing $450 from a safe at the home of his friend’s mother and fleeing the residence at 24840 Silversmith Drive on June 6, a sheriff’s office report states.

The woman told deputies she had invited Blair into her home because he was an acquaintance of her son but she found him in her bedroom about 6 inches away from an unsecured safe. She checked her safe and discovered the money was missing and when she asked Blair about it he took off, the report states.

She wrote down the tag of the vehicle he was driving, which was registered to Blair, according to the report. She was able to identify Blair from a photo lineup.

Blair at first told deputies he was never in the home, but then changed his story, the report states.

Blair was released from the Land O’ Lakes Jail later Saturday after posting $5,000 bail. It was not immediately clear who bailed him out.
