Tom Eldon, Democratic pollster extraordinaire, understands Florida politics in ways that no other Pittsburgh natives can.
Eldon’s expertise is not only in the generation of noteworthy, useful numbers but also in his sharp eye (and tongue) for dissecting the results of other polls. That takes the left-brained data cruncher and the right-brained spinster and puts them into one very interesting man.
Eldon served as a campaign consultant to Southern Strategies from 1992 to 1995; and then joined SEA Polling & Strategic Design in 1996.
Until 2010, he was half of the polling team for the St. Petersburg Times, with Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway of the Polling Company. Ever the one to keep people guessing, Eldon broadcasts his love for the English Premier League’s Liverpool FC — and win — and you guessed it, “mockery.”
Even a quick browse of his Twitter feed will confirm all of those things.
Eldon may be funny and unassuming but his sharp political mind continues to deliver in the results department.
