Brush up on Avengers trivia as ‘Age of Ultron’ assembles

in Apolitical/Top Headlines by

Avengers: Age of Ultron, the highly awaited sequel to 2012’s The Avengers opens in North America today, with sky-high expectations.

After already grossing more than $200 million overseas, Ultron – with all its attendant hype — will likely make that amount within the next few days and break all sorts of weekend box office records.

Among all the excitement, The Associated Press offers fans a challenge: How much do you know about the summer’s blockbuster event?

In an interactive quiz, AP offers 10 challenging trivia questions on Joss Wheaton’s latest Avengers entry, its comic origins and connections with others characters in the Marvel universe.

Questions include: When did Ultron first appear in the comics; who is the father of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and what does S.H.I.E.L.D. stand for?

Now is the perfect time to brush up on knowledge before assembling at the nearest IMAX 3D theater (because that’s really the only way to see Avengers, right?)
