Bucs rank 30th in NFL franchise value

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are at No. 30 on a Forbes.com ranking of the world’s 50 most valuable sports teams, valued at $1.067 billion.

The team’s value increased from $1.03 billion a year ago, but dropped from No. 28 to No. 30 overall on the list.With 30 teams in the top 50, for the second consecutive year, the NFL takes up 60 percent of this 2014 list. 

The Glazer family, which owns the Bucs, also has the world No. 3 franchise in soccer club Manchester United, worth $2.81 billion. Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, were Real Madrid at $3.44 billion and Barcelona at $3.2 billion. Manchester United dropped one point from No. 2 in 2013.
