Carl Hinson files to run for Hillsborough Circuit Judge

Tampa native, attorney  and longtime small business owner Carl Hinson filed paperwork today to become a candidate for Judge in the 13th Circuit Court, Group 8. 

“Hillsborough County is my home and a place that is very special to me and my family,” Hinson said of his decision to run. “I’ve spent decades not only in the courtroom, but running my own business here in Hillsborough County. Now I feel like it’s time for me to serve our County in a new capacity as the next Circuit Court Judge in Group 8.”
 
Hinson was born and raised in the Tampa area and graduated from Hillsborough High School.  He is the Past President of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association and  a member of the Florida Justice Association.  
 
On the importance of our judicial system Hinson said: “The role of a judge is to ensure that everyone is treated equal under the law. The next Circuit Judge from Group 8 should be impartial and honest.  I believe I posses those attributes, as well as the necessary experience and knowledge of our community and the legal system to make sure everyone in the courtroom is treated fairly and courteously”.
 
He lives in Tampa with his wife Yvette and their daughter, Vanessa.
