World of Beer files suit over closed, rebranded Bradenton franchise

A Tampa-based chain of taverns is disputing its Bradenton franchise, which closed and rebranded without due notice or an opportunity for the parent company to buy back the business. World of Beer is a group of brewpubs founded in part by Paul Avery and Ben Novello, two veterans of the Outback Steakhouse chain. In 2009, the first World of Beer opened at the address in question, 8217 Tourist Center Dr. in Bradenton. Three years later, SRQBeer secured World of Beer franchise rights.…
