The widow of a Tampa man killed in a 2015 helicopter crash is suing her husband’s employer for failing to properly review the Nicaraguan company contracted for the chopper ride. James Horrisberger Sr., 62, was killed along with three others in a helicopter crash Nov. 17, 2015. Smoke shop employee remains unpaid after being shot on first day of job

Talk about a bad first day on the job. The victim of an attempted armed robbery is suing his ex-employer after suffering a gunshot wound just one day after starting his job at Tony’s Smoke Shop. Apollo Beach man sues buddy for shooting him in face during duck hunt

It was duck season in Florida when an Apollo Beach man was shot in the face by a fellow hunter in Cockroach Bay. On Jan. 3, 2015, Jason Tackus was duck hunting with his buddies when he was caught in the crossfire of one hunters’ shot. Michael Wilson discharged his firearm with Tackus blocking the shot. Real estate ‘mentor’ sued for fraud after house flip failure

A lawsuit has been filed against a local real estate company for allegedly scamming two local Realtors out of $35,000. The suit, filed by two University of South Florida alumni, alleges Tampa business owner and real estate agent, Juan Carlos Gonzalez, misrepresented himself when agreeing to be their mentor. Acting as her own attorney, a Tampa resident is suing FPR Used Auto Sales for allegedly falsifying information and forging her signature.
