GOP congressional hopeful and former college basketball star Curt Clawson released his newest digital ad focusing on the political “outsider” and his business experience in the private sector.

Clawson is campaigning as a Republican in Florida’s 19th Congressional District special election for the seat vacated last month by disgraced U.S. Rep. Trey Radel. He faces State Rep. Paige Kreegel and Senate Majority Leader Lizbeth Benacquisto in the April 22 GOP primary. The general election is June 24.

“The Outsider” is a 30-second digital spot saying that Clawson will use his expertise “from the hardwood to the boardroom” in Congress to bring America “to the top of its game.”

All three of Clawson’s digital ads are now available on YouTube

Clawson, former CEO of automobile-wheel manufacturer Hayes Lemmerz International, also served as COO of American National Can. Sports fans may also know him as the senior captain of the Purdue University basketball team which won the 1984 Big Ten Championship under Coach of the Year, Gene Keady.
