A Florida woman is recovering after a being bitten by a bear in the latest bear attack in the Orlando suburb of Lake Mary.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Thursday the unnamed woman was walking her dog Wednesday night when the dog spotted the bear and tried to chase it.

The tug from the dog caused the woman to fall. The bear bit the woman on the upper arm and left.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The dog was unharmed.

Wildlife officials have set up traps in the suburb in which residents have regular bear encounters.

Last April, a woman in Lake Mary was injured when a bear mauled her.

Three people were later charged with misdemeanors for feeding bears.
