“Charlie Crist for Florida,” gave three installments of $1.5 million each to the FDP from Aug. 11-20, according to recent finance reports.

The committee directed more than $8.2 million to the state party since December.

Crist’s committee raised nearly $14.6 million as of Aug. 21, spending a total of about $8.75 million.

Reports show that among the top contributors since Aug. 9 include West Palm Beach-based law firm Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, giving $150,000, and the Jacksonville-based firm of Harrell & Harrell, which chipped in $100,000.

At the same time, Crist’s campaign brought in $1,385,374 from Aug. 9-21, for an overall total of nearly $6.4 million, a total bolstered by the state with $1.09 million in matching funds.
