Charlie Crist had a very good, very sad reason for missing Volusia County Democratic Party’s fundraiser Saturday night

After it was noted that former Governor Charlie Crist was unable to give the keynote speech at the Volusia County Democratic Party’s fundraiser Saturday night, some on Twitter made some snide comments about Crist blowing off the event.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Crist was unable to attend Saturday’s event because of a grievously serious family crisis which I am not at liberty to discuss. However, let me stress that the Crist family is in dire need of your prayers and support.

I genuinely wish I could share more, but it’s not place to do so. I just wanted to temper down those critical of Crist for missing Saturday’s event.
