With nearly 100 days until Election Day, Charlie Crist’s gubernatorial campaign has planned a “Weekend of Action” designed to bolster grassroots efforts.
Volunteers in field offices across the state will be participating in as many as 70 grassroots events, including phone banks and door-to-door canvassing in support of the former governor and likely Democratic nominee.
“While Rick Scott is spending tens of millions of dollars on false TV ads attacking Charlie Crist,” says campaign manager Omar Khan, “we’re focused on building a grassroots, people-focused campaign to turn out the vote in November.”
Between now and Election Day, Kahn says volunteers will have “hundreds of thousands of conversations” – with friends, family and total strangers — talking about how “the People’s Governor will fight for them, not just for those at the top.”
