With a slight lead in the latest polling, Democratic nominee Charlie Crist kicks off the last weekend of the heated Florida governor’s race today with campaign stops throughout Central Florida.
Crist starts the day in his home base of St. Petersburg with an 8:30 a.m. meet-and-greet at Munch’s Restaurant, 3920 6th St S.
Then, Crist moves over to the East Coast, meeting with volunteers and supporters in Daytona Beach at 12:30 p.m. for an early vote canvass launch at 457 S. Ridgewood Avenue.
Later, the former governor attends a Hispanics for Crist event at 4 p.m. with Puerto Rico Governor Alejandro García Padilla, Puerto Rico Senator Carmelo Rios Santiago and Congressman Xavier Becerra in Orlando, with the location to be announced later.
