Charlie Crist on running as Democrat for Governor in 2014: "Never say never"

I was interviewed by 10 News’ Preston Rudie for a story about Charlie Crist’s prospects in a Democratic primary if he were to run for Governor in 2014.

Long story short: Charlie wins in a walk.

With multiple Democratic stalwarts like Nan Rich and Alex Sink dividing up the Democratic wing of the Democratic party, Crist would build a broad, winning coalition of Agrican Americans, condo voters, conservative Democrats, Tampa Bay voters, teachers, and trial lawyers.

But will Charlie even run as a Democrat in 2014?

With a poll showing he would defeat Rick Scott in 2014, Crist is not ruling out the possibility that he may run for governor as a Democrat. Speaking by phone from overseas with Rudie, Crist said, “Never say never.”

That’s good enough for me.
