July has given Democrat Charlie Crist a reason to cheer as the biggest month of fundraising to date for the Charlie Crist for Governor Campaign.

Crist raised $3.5 million combined raised last month, the best ever for any Democratic candidate in Florida, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by Campaign Manager Omar Khan.

As further proof of the grassroots support for the former governor, Khan also noted that over 90 percent of contributions received since November has been $100 or less.

“From the beginning we have said this is the People’s Campaign,” he said. “Our donors and volunteers are committed to electing Charlie Crist, the People’s Governor, because they know the importance of having a Governor who will fight for them.”

“People across Florida are invested in this campaign and we are so proud of our grassroots efforts.”
