Charlie Crist reacts to news of Alex Sink announcing she won’t run in 2014

Democrat Alex Sink, a 2010 gubernatorial candidate, said Friday she wouldn’t run for governor, removing an obstacle for a potential comeback run for former Gov. Charlie Crist.

Crist’s reaction to Sink’s announcement was subdued and avoided discussion of his own plans for 2014.

“I loved working with Alex on the Florida Cabinet and I’m sure it won’t be the last time we work together,” said Crist. “Florida needs Alex Sink and I’m excited about what’s happening at her Florida NEXT Foundation.”
